This Sunday we will have a special class on “God’s love,” in memory of my mother Eleanor Kobrin, whose birthday and anniversary was February 14th.

We will also discuss how to deal with problems encountered when meditating, such as drowsiness and inability to concentrate.

Student question:

Is it okay if I do other stuff while I listen / watch your class on Zoom?

The Amidah as meditation:“remembers the love of the Patriarchs, and brings a redeemer to their children’s children, for His name’s sake, with Love.”

What is “God’s love?’
Rabbi Kaplan – “Anthology I – If You Were God” pp 115 – 117
God has no need to create the world.
God is good.
Pure love.

Is love “desire?”

No.

Most people cannot multi-task.
The name of the game is mind-body integration, not separation.
Don’t short-change your spiritual development.
You reap what you sow.

Show respect to your teacher and fellow students.
